Agartala, August 23, 2025: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Saturday underlined the need for a citizen-friendly judicial system, assuring that the state government would extend all necessary support to strengthen justice delivery.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 16th Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate and Civil Judge (Junior Division) Court at Mohanpur, Dr. Saha said, “Justice should be fair, fast, accessible and affordable.” He urged collective efforts to build a “Viksit Tripura” by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, Justice T. Amarnath Goud, Agriculture Minister Ratan Lal Nath, Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, and Advocate General Shaktimoy Chakraborty were among the dignitaries present at the programme.
The Chief Minister appealed to the judiciary to ensure that people do not face harassment or long delays while seeking justice. He noted that while instructions may sometimes be required for corrective measures, unnecessary legal complications often slow down the development process.
Highlighting the government’s initiatives, Dr. Saha said that despite financial constraints, Tripura is witnessing significant progress across sectors—women empowerment, economic growth, employment generation, social welfare, and human resource development—guided by the principle of good governance. “Our government works in a transparent manner and is committed to all-round development,” he added.
Dr. Saha also pointed out that the Mohanpur Assembly constituency has seen unprecedented development in recent years. The inauguration event drew enthusiastic participation from local residents.
