Pasighat DEO Dr. KinnySingh appealed for strict adherence to model code of conduct and asked full cooperation from the leaders and government employees in this regard.

Meanwhile, under watchful eyes of the DEO, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee, Video Surveillance and Viewing Teams, Expenditure Monitoring Committee etc have been formed and pressed into service to check illegal or over budgeted expenditure or ‘Paid News’ etc. She is closely monitoring every development and tirelessly guiding in the election process to protect the democratic right of the citizens. Singh cautioned the officers/officials entrusted to election duty to strictly comply ECI guidelines and ensure that posters, banners and flags are not put up on unauthorized structures on public places.In an executive order,DEO cum District Magistrate, Dr. Singh today has directed to withdraw all the licensed arms and ammunitions under East Siang District Administration U/S 17(3)(b) of the Arms Act, 1957 read with letter No. 464/INST/2009 Dtd. 1st Sept’’09and to keep in the safe custody of the respective police stations within a period of five days immediately and the same shall be remain deposited till one week after the counting is over. She also directed the respective OCs to deposit the fire arms of the licensee in the armory under a proper acknowledgement to the licensee and to return them after completion of the election process.

 

In her message to the employees, Dr. Singh stated that “We are hereby entrusted to facilitate people to democratically choose their government (in our case both at Centre and State). Let’s do our duty with utmost sincerity and dedication” told DEO to the officers yesterday soon after announcing of elections. She admitted that responsibilities of government employees have been multiplied and paper work has increased manifold at all levels to keep all the things in readiness for 11th April, 2019. She expressed hope that in such conducive and secured atmosphere, all responsible citizens will definitely come out, participate and exercise their franchise without fear and favor.
