The state level Tritya sopan training and testing camp 2019 for Scouts and Guides was organized at Yid Ga choi-zin Tawang from 16th to 20th of September 2019. 25 guides and 22 scouts from various schools of Tawang and West Kameng district were trained for Rajya Puraskar in this camp. There were 7 Guide Captains and 8 Scout masters to train the students. During this camp the students were taken to various tourist and historical places of Tawang. They were given training on first aid, improvised rope stretcher making, other skills and character building, as informed by the Leader of the Camp Shri Tashi Neema.

In its valedictory function today Addl.DC Tawang Shri Lobsang Tsering, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address to the campers Tsering paid homage to the founder of Scouts movement, Lord Baden Powel and congratulated the staff and department concern for successfully conducting the camp in Tawang. He further advised to the campers “Whatever you learn here in this camp, you should carry it forward and make use of those techniques and knowledge in your life. Be confident and study hard, do not waste your time in unnecessary gossip. Study for knowledge but not for getting degrees, the world will open gates for you if you have knowledge and skill.”

The students presented cultural programmes and demonstration on stretcher making, techniques to handle first aid in case of emergency and a skit on plastic pollution. Smti Yangdron Lhamu DTO (BS&G) Tawang, Shri Tashi Neema LOC(Leader of the camp) and others also spoke on the occasion.
