Reflecting on the ‘haam hein na’ spirit for suffering cancer patients, Arunachal Cancer Welfare Society (ACWS) fed indoor patients and those coming for treatment at the Cancer Tertiary Centre of Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (TRIMHS) here on Monday.

Sponsor Capital Complex SP Tumme Amo, after distributing fruits to the patients, said that he was extremely happy to meet them. Amo who lost his brother to cancer said he was aware of the pain of losing a loved one, that is why he wanted to be a part of ACWS.

“All should go for regular health check-up as life is invaluable and who knows the future”, he cautioned the parents, adding that cancer is curable if detected in early stage.

He made a fervent plea to younger generations to refrain from alcoholism, smoking and any form of drugs and remain engaged, even by learning carpentry, plumbing and electrician skills as the state has huge deficit of such trained manpower.

He evinced keen interest while inspecting sophisticated equipments of TCC along with Indian Medical Association Arunachal state branch honourary general secretary Dr Jego Ori, senior doctors including Dr Hage Sonia, ACWS chairman Yomli Sora, vice chairman Pani Renya, member-secretary Bomya Kamduk and member Pradeep Kumar.
