Thousands of Teachers take All India Teachers Online Quiz in ChalkLit App

The All India Teachers Online Quiz organized by Million Sparks Foundation saw participation by over 3000 teachers from all over the country. The Online Quiz for teachers which was a part of the Teachers’ Day celebration was hosted on the mobile app- “ChalkLit“.

ChalkLit is a mobile-centric platform developed by Million Sparks Foundation which provides training and resources for Teachers’ Capacity Building and enables teachers to connect and communicate with their peers as well as get latest updates on education. ChalkLit currently provides training to more than 5000 teachers at a single time every month in collaboration with SCERTs and Department of Education of the states of Delhi, Haryana, Goa, and Uttar Pradesh.

The Online Quiz, available both in English and Hindi languages, was the first of its kind open to all teachers on a pan-India level in which teachers could participate from anywhere conveniently using their smartphones. The quiz was based on teaching strategies, RTE Act 2009, Classroom management and student behavior management strategies.

Liberata from St. Michel’s Convent High School, Goa said it was very informational and captivating while Hansi, a teacher from GGSSS, Palam Enclave, Delhi found the quiz quite engaging. Ravi Shankar from Primary School in Varanasi UP shared his excitement for the quiz and said he was eagerly awaiting the results to be announced tomorrow.

Dr Mona Mathur, the founder of the Million Sparks Foundation and an educationist since past 25+ years says that keeping the teachers excited about reinventing themselves helps them inspire learning in the students too.
