Floods in Assam have affected more than 57 lakh people. Over 4,000 villages in various districts of the state have been severely affected.

Normal life has been seriously hit and communication has come to a standstill. Floodwaters have badly damaged interlinking rural roadways leaving people isolated within the villages.

The Skill Development Vocational Teachers Association Assam, purely contractual teachers who are appointed under Mission Director of Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) has contributed a check of rupees fifty thousand, 50000/- to The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Presence of Honourbale CM at Chief Minister’s Office, Assam yesterday.

Despite being employed purely on contractual basis, this association’s active participation sets an example for others.
The association and it’s members donated wholeheartedly to the CM’s relief fund.

To help people reeling under the massive flood, the Chief Minister Relief Fund in collaboration with Milaap has become a bridge between the donators and the flood victims. The fundraisers have collected around Rs 321,198 so far and they need more to provide basic reliefs to those whose lives have been devastated by the floods.
