Late Aimi Jamoh Pertin, wife of Reverent Dana Pertin of Pasighat who had served the state government of Arunachal Pradesh under Industry department as Weaving Instructress breathed her last at residence on Sunday evening after a prolong illness.
Late Aimi Jamoh Pertin joined the department during 1964 and during her long tenure of services she has been instrumental in teaching and training local women folks of weaving which gave livelihood to several village women. Due to her dedication and sincerity in training women folks, she was very popular among the society and was popularly called/known as ‘Ayi’ or ‘Nane’,  means mother or aunty in local Adi dialogue.
She was also an early pioneer of Christianity among Adi community and had served as women President of Siang Baptist Association (now Adi Baptist Council).
While remembering her as one of a known social and religious worker former Education Minister, Shri Bosiram Siram said that her death has caused irreparable loss to the society whose death has left behind a trail of heartbroken and gloomy admirers.
She was born on August 18, 1946 at Komkar village under Geku circle in Upper Siang district and she was married to Adi Baptist Council president reverend Dana Pertin who also served the state government under the capacity of Dy. Director IPR before his retirement.
She left behind her husband, three sons and three daughters, and among whom are District Food and Civil Supplies Officer,  East Siang district Bijoy Pertin (son)  and Smti Indira Pertin Taloh, entrepreneur owner of popular and luxurious hotel owner of Hotel Serene Abode of Pasighat.
