Agartala, March 8, 2024: Tripura’s former Chief Minister and BJP Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Friday cautioned his party workers not to be complacent after the Tipra Motha joined the BJP-led alliance in Tripura, saying that there is still opposition in the state. He was speaking at the first anniversary function of the BJP 2.0 coalition government organized at Agartala Town Hall.

Deb said that the BJP would seek the advice of the people of Tripura for the development of India in the coming days. He said that the BJP would work for the welfare of every section of the society in the state.

He also urged the party workers to fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with the same belief that they had from 2014 to 2018, when they ousted the CPM from power in Tripura. He said that it was wrong to think that the BJP did not have to fight in the Lok Sabha elections after the Tipra Motha joined the alliance.

Deb launched a scathing attack on the CPIM and the Congress, saying that they had almost become extinct in Tripura. He accused the Communists of not wanting the prosperity of the people of Tripura. He said that the CPIM chief minister, who had 35 years of experience, presented a budget of only 14 thousand crore rupees during the 25 years of continuous CPM rule. He contrasted this with the BJP government, which presented a double budget during its six years of rule.

He also mocked the Communists for not having Lakshmi and Saraswati, the goddesses of wealth and knowledge, respectively. He said that the Communists did not believe in any tradition. He claimed that after the BJP government came to power in Tripura, the state had prospered and its name had become well known to the people of different states.

He appealed to the people of the state to win the Lok Sabha elections with huge votes and strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the candidate of the opposition party should be defeated by a margin of 1 lakh votes.

He also informed that the Tripura Pradesh BJP had organized the Bharat Modi Ki Guarantee program in Agartala on Friday.
